Chief finance officer
Lee is the chief finance officer at NHS South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
Prior to joining the integrated care board, Lee was the chief finance officer and deputy chief executive at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from 2017 and chief finance and strategy officer at Derbyshire Community Healthcare Services from November 2021. Lee has worked in the NHS since 1993 (in Devon, Hampshire, London and Derbyshire). He was appointed to his first finance director role in 2007 and spent three years working as a regional director of finance for the NHS Trust Development Authority and then NHS Improvement.
Lee is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). He is a member of the CIPFA Council and is vice chair of their Public Policy and Reform Faculty Board.
Lee is chair of the HFMA Policy and Research Committee.
