NHS VAT sub-committee
Providing a forum to discuss NHS VAT developments and issues.
The NHS VAT sub-committee is a sub-committee of the Accounting and Standards Committee. It aims to promote the sharing of VAT knowledge within the NHS. This is done by working in partnership with HMRC and the DHSC to identify the impact of VAT changes on the NHS and the VAT impact of NHS policy and legislative changes.
The committee discusses on-going known issues as well as new issues identified by HFMA members.
Membership is drawn from all sectors of the NHS and includes representation from HMRC, the DHSC and NHS England.
Meetings are held three times a year.
