HFMA response / Response to the consultation on the Charity Commission annual return
The Charity Commission for England and Wales is consulting about proposed changes to the annual return that charities make at the end of each financial year.
The HFMA agrees with the proposed changes. It is unlikely that NHS charities will be adversely affected by the changes. However, it is not clear how they would answer some of the questions and what the impact of their answers might be. The Charity Commission implies that some answers may indicate that a charity has a risk that it should address but the guidance does not help charities work out what action they should take.
