HFMA response / Response to the consultation on the 2023/25 NHS payment scheme
The HFMA has responded to the consultation on the 2023/25 NHS payment scheme.
The HFMA is broadly supportive of the proposed introduction of the NHS payment scheme, replacing the national tariff payment system and supports alignment with the allocation timescales specified in the 2023/24 priorities and operational planning guidance. However, we have raised concerns around the approach to calculating 2023/24 prices and have highlighted the views of our members in relation to concerns about implementation and management of the elective variable elements and continued inclusion of best practice tariffs in the payment scheme.
