Briefing / Better care fund – the full year experience
The survey found that overall, staff in NHS bodies and local authorities are working hard together to make the better care fund work. In most cases, relations have been improved or, at least, not harmed as a result of this policy. Generally, operational objectives were met and financial targets achieved. However, the financial pressures on both NHS bodies and local authorities has hindered the development of better care fund schemes.
