Speaker / Carolyn Wood

Carolyn is currently the Executive Director of Finance at the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, a post she has held for five years. Prior to this she has held a number of senior roles at local and regional level.

Carolyn began her career in the NHS in 1995 at Salford Royal Hospital, qualifying as a Chartered Public Finance Accountant in 2000. Since then, she has spent her career working in a number of NHS organisations in the North West, including NHS providers, a primary care trust, the strategic health authority and NHS England. She was appointed Chair of HFMA NW Branch in November 2023.
