News alert / Adult social care reform
As part of its Next steps to put people at the heart of care plan, published in April, the Department of Health and Social Care is establishing a unit to oversee innovation and improvement across adult social care. In addition, it has published a list of priorities for innovation and scaling in care and support. Each priority presents an example of a model or approach that local authorities could adopt, accompanied by a case study. Local authorities are urged to work with each other on these priorities, and with their local integrated care system, the NHS, care providers and voluntary and community groups.
