    Break

Costing in the NHS has changed significantly over recent years. In this session you will hear about the evolution from reference costs to the Costing Transformation Programme, the development of the costing standards, the National Cost Collection and the move to patient-level costing.

    Speakers
Jack Hardman   / Head of costing , NHS England

Reporting accurate cost information into a national database isn’t the only reason to collect patient-level data, and increasingly is not even the main reason. Organisations with Patient-Level Information and Costing Systems (PLICS) are now starting to analyse and interpret their data locally to make important decisions about their services. This session will look at how organisations can use costing information to help make improvements to patient care.

    Speakers
Sarah Cooper   / Lead costing accountant , North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust

A look back at the learning from the day and the actions to take back to your organisation.
