COVID-19 has changed the way we will work forever. Gone are the days of the ‘right’ way of working, the usual hours in the office, spending little time at home, and the constant travelling to and from meetings. Today we embrace a modern and exciting era, where the opportunity to work from home has opened new doors, modernised, and simplified our ways of working – but what does this mean going forward?

With the shift towards ICSs and the need for collaborative working more than ever before, how can we still be part of a team even when we are working apart? How can we sufficiently meet health and care needs across an area from our home office, as well as supporting our own health and wellbeing? What challenges have we faced in this transition, and as a region how.

This interactive session for HMPA and HFMA colleagues to come together and explore the implications of home working on staff wellbeing, productivity and efficiency gains and the potential way forward. Members have the opportunity to engage with a range of experts as well as exchanging best practice and lessons learnt with colleagues from NHS Trusts who have seen successes as well as the pitfalls to look at for.
