This course is for you if you are a student who wants to improve your self-belief and/or your ability to command respect and attention from others.

The course looks at the key elements of confidence (core self-belief and situational credibility) and provides practical tools and tips that you will be able to put into practice immediately.

Content

  • What is situational confidence? How does it differ from self esteem?
  • Analysing and pinpointing exactly what you have to offer
  • Practical ways of setting up and maintaining relationships that are mutually respectful.
  • How to inspire confidence in your manager and other senior staff
  • But what if I don’t know much about the subject? How to ask questions in a way that generates respect from others
  • Ways of dramatically improving your presence in meetings.

Facilitator

Peter English is a former NHS manager who established his consultancy practice in 1997.  He has worked with thousands of managers and clinicians at all levels to help them improve their impact.  Peter is the author of The Confidence Pocketbook, Succeeding at Interviews and Tackling Difficult Conversations, all published by Management Pocketbooks
