Event / HFMA London Branch: lunch and learn - rising star award winner Sofiya Khan-Ringshaw
Sofiya was the only nominee to receive several nominations from her peers for this award.
Sofiya is a Finance Assistant at NELFT and is passionate about making the apprenticeship process a success not only for herself but for the wider system.
She is the apprentice champion on the HFMA branch committee and SDN Network and is one of our speakers at today’s conference. Sofiya has now taken the mantle to chair the London Student Finance Network, forming the LS Professional Committee, and re-initiating the important work to support all finance students across London.
Sofiya Khan-Ringshaw started as a Finance Apprentice in 2021 straight from leaving school and is now a Finance Administrator continuing with her AAT studies. She has the drive and determination to reach great heights and bring some amazing change to the NHS, especially within the Finance Training programme and developing students which she is very passionate about.
She’s had a massive impact on the finance team rotating through the three sub-sections gaining knowledge and thinking of new innovative ways to improve the processes.
She has spoken at several talks across the London patch through recommendations by various organisers, talking about her own story, starting as an apprentice, and gaining promotions, all whilst working through her AAT exams to become a qualified accountant.
