Event / HFMA Eastern Branch: What role can pensions play in retaining people within the NHS?

This session will be facilitated by Pengage who have extensive experience in delivering educational webinars to NHS Pension Scheme members on matters such as pensions tax, the McCloud legal judgment (and remedy) and preparing for retirement. This allows them to talk about the issues that current members frequently ask about, their concerns and whether pensions are a tool or a barrier to staff retention within the NHS. Topics covered include:

• Retire and Return
• Pensions Tax – AA issues and some of the ‘solutions’ gaining traction (opting out, recycling etc)
• McCloud

This session will be delivered by Nigel Heaton. Nigel has been in pensions for over 35 years, working as a consultant, a scheme trustee and a technical administrator amongst other things. He now delivers webinars to groups of NHS Pension Scheme members about some of the issues they face including pensions tax, the McCloud judgement, preparing for retirement and manging your finances better. He is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute.
