Sam Garrett, Financial controller, Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS FT, shared her experience as a Financial and Clinical Engagement (FACE) representative in a Provider Trust. 

The session covered several topics, including

• making a positive first impression and building rapport with non-finance personnel
• selecting the preferred communication method of the audience
• breaking down complex financial data into key messages, and
• making financial information relatable to operational staff
