The US body also published a Healthcare value sourcebook, which summarised five years of research encompassing 10 separate projects on how to improve value in healthcare (www.hfma.org/valueproject).

Ms Lorimer briefed the conference on current issues in the NHS and the importance of working together both as health systems and as a finance community to meet the challenges – a sentiment captured in her theme for the year, ‘Stronger together’.
