News / Khan to take HFMA presidency ahead of schedule
Ms Khan was confirmed as one of two vice presidents last year. Her co-vice president Mark Orchard had been due to take over the presidency for 2015/16. However, Mr Orchard started a new job as finance director of Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in May and the HFMA trustees have agreed that he will instead serve his year as president in 2016/17.
HFMA chief executive Mark Knight said he was looking forward to working with both presidents and was grateful to Ms Khan and her trust for bringing her year forward.
