Event / Costing together 2022
About this event
The Costing together forum is for costing practitioners and those involved in the implementation of the costing standards.
Costing together was a delegate-led day tackling specific technical costing challenges and discussing in detail some of the practicalities of implementing the costing standards. The format of the day allowed attendees to work collaboratively to address some of the current challenges and included sector specific breakouts to allow for tailored discussion.
Please note: Due to the format of this event and confidentiality reasons, no recordings of the sessions were made and no slides were used. Therefore there is no on-demand content available post-event.
Before exploring some of the current costing challenges, we wanted to take a look at the direction of travel over the next few years to provide a context for the discussions. The panel will consider how costing teams can support the move to system working, how cost and activity data can used to inform system decision making and what needs to happen to move the focus to costing complete pathways of care.
Delegates will be split into sector specific groups. The session will start with the facilitators sharing details of an area that works well for them. Delegates will then discuss and share areas that work well in their organisations, and will also have the opportunity explore how they might apply the examples they’ve heard about today.
